Mr. Timothy Donahue, Chairman and CEO of Nextel Inc., visited China from Feb. 25th to 27th. Vice Premier Huang Ju met with Mr. Donahue and Mr. Gary Forsee, CEO of Sprint. Inc. in Beijing. Vice Premier Huang appreciated what the two companies have done in recent years to promote economic cooperation between the two countries and Sino-U.S. relations and hoped that after the merge, the two companies could make further efforts to promote cooperation between Chinese and American telecommunication industries.

    Mr. Donahue said that Nextel was very willing to take part in China's telecommunication industry and win-win cooperation with Chinese companies who own CDMA such as China Unicom. He believed that Nextel would be a very good partner of Chinese companies.
