From October 11th to 18th, Mr. Xie Yuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China-US People's Friendship Association and Chief of U.S. Division of CPAFFC attended the 16th Worldwide Conference of People-to-People International in Baveno, Italy. More than 200 members and representatives from about 40 countries of America, Asia and Europe attended the conference under the theme of Bridging Culture in a Changing World. Mrs. Mary Eisenhower, President and CEO of PTPI, Mr. Berkley, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Folch, former Italy Ambassador to the UN, attended the opening ceremony and made remarks.
