Mr. Robert A. Iger, President & COO of the Walter Disney Company, visited Beijing from October 15th to 17th. Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong met him at the Great Hall of the People on October 16th.

    Vice President Zeng Qinghong supported Disney's plan to build an amusement park in Shanghai, and appreciated continuous efforts made by the American companies, including the Walter Disney Company, to advance the China-US relations. Mr. Iger said he would accelerate the process of negotiation with the Shanghai Municipal Government on the amusement park, which, together with the amusement park to be opened soon in Hong Kong, can become windows for the American people to know about China.
