Mr. Charles O. Prince, CEO of Citigroup Inc., visited China from Feb. 3rd to 4th and participated in the celebration of the strategic cooperation established between the Pudong Development Bank and Citibank. Vice Premier Huang Ju met with Mr. Prince and his party in Beijing. Vice Premier Huang appreciated what the Citigroup has done for China's economic development in the past years, and hoped the Citigroup, under Mr. Prince's leadership, could further promote mutual cooperation between Chinese and American businesses and friendship of the two countries. Mr. Prince introduced Citigroup's cooperation with Chinese financial institutes, and promised continuous contribution to development of Chinese financial service market.

    Citigroup Inc. is the largest financial institute in the world, with the total assets of more than 1 trillion US dollars. The Citibank, a subsidiary of the Citigroup, is one of the earliest foreign banks entering the Chinese market and has established 5 branches in China.
